Hey guys.

My Prelude got rear ended the other day going to Monterey Bay Aquarium last weekend.
The bumper is scraped, scuffed up, has a hole, and you can see paint from other car.
I also want to see if there is any body/ frame damage on the car from the accident.
such as what is align and what is not from the rear end accident.

So if you guys can direct me to a good AutoBody that does good work and paint, please
let me know.
*Some where in San Jose *
i am located on the EastSide.

thanks guys!

*be good if its a high-end shop... will be handled by insurance.*
i just want my car fixed right and proper.

Can anybody list a good place in SF or Sac? Insurance will be covering it, so expense is not a problem.

Shouldn't insurance give u a list of companies? You should yelp all of those for reviews and choose the best one

make sure you get a lawyer so that you get fully compensated. a lot of people dont know their rights w hen they get in an accident. the other insurance company should/will pay for your rental car... things like that... and if you're hurt, i recommend seeing a chiropractor... a great place i know is in milpitas. M&S auto body, behind milpitas cop shop... enterprise rent a car will pick drop off the car for you. all on the person that hit you insurance tab.

hope you and your baby (prelude) is ok

@nitekid: No they told me to choose my own shop. The yelp reviews were mixed and I went to a couple of the top listed ones, but they didn't seem that great/interested.

@tuong: the company of the other vehicle is taking full responisbility, thanks.

4 out of the 5 shops I visited said the car isn't worth much and that insurance would probably want to buy it from me than pay for damage, thanks for the help anyways.

@tuong: yeah thanks, but the car really isn't worth it any more, I'll keep this in mind if they offer us a buying price.

@nitekid: not sure yet, but the estimated value of the vehicle is only $7k tops, repairs are about $5k based on visual alone.

Rear-ended by a cherokee doing 30mph (we were at full stop), so you can pretty much guess how bad the damage is.

for around SF, its really in San Bruno City but Gava's body shop are trustworthy but they may take a lil longer than other places because they're always busy and crowded

@ak415: thanks, but the vehicle is considered a total loss as of now "280k miles on a toyota and you're only half way there" apparently doesn't mean anything to insurance companies -_-
